My Story: I stumbled across Wealthy Affiliate back in August of 2006 while I was on my way to figure out how to make a living online. I sat around for years dreaming of ways to make a living with my own business, but rarely did anything about it until recently.
Eventually I decided affiliate marketing sounded like a good idea for making money...no product to create, no inventory to deal with like on eBay. But!..I ran into so many crappy programs that try to teach you how to do affiliate marketing and make money online with affiliate marketing. I was just sick of it and felt like I was going in a big loop of people just telling me how to sell stuff to other people wanting to make money online. Where was the real meat?!!!
So I kept digging around and eventually found Wealthy Affiliate. On their homepage, a few words jumped out at me right away. "making money online is NOT easy", "it's takes hard work", AND "you will not get rich overnight". BINGO! Ok, now here's a site that seems realistic and doesn't appear to just be trying to scam me out of some money. PLUS!...the owners, Carson & Kyle, offered 1 and 1 support. Killer! So I took the plunge and joined.
I have to say I was not disappointed at all. They really lived up to their commitment for 1and1 support and truly do lay all their best Internet Marketing techniques out on the table. It was frankly a bit overwhelming at first. For a good month, I spent a lot of time just absorbing the material, getting my feet wet, making mistakes, and getting the help I needed to correct those mistakes. The thing I love is that no matter what I'm facing, I can always throw out a lifeline on Wealthy Affiliate and know I will get some real and honest help.
Well, here I am several months later, and I quit my day job in June of '07 thanks to Carson, Kyle, and everyone else at Wealthy Affiliate. And to be honest, I have now found that there are more opportunities to just keep repeating and increasing my income day by day. What's even better, is that I'm making money selling big brand name products you see every day. I'm not just making money trying to tell others how to make money. That frankly doesn't interest me.
Oh, and there's one more guy at Wealthy Affiliate I should mention. A humble dude from Arkansas named Travis....who is making some SERIOUS bank as an affiliate marketer. He also runs www.bummarketingmethod.com . This guys really completes the whole offer as he quite simply a marketing genius. The marketing knowledge he shares on the forum at Wealthy Affiliate is just priceless and will last a lifetime, no matter what business you end up in.
So that's my honest to goodness story and opinion on Wealthy Affiliate. I know there's a lot of BS and scammy programs trying to just take your money and run so I'm try to help you avoid some pain with those programs. I'll be honest and say that Internet Marketing isn't for everyone, but if you feel strongly that it is, I highly recommend Wealthy Affiliate as the best way to get all the tools, techniques, and knowledge to be successful at it.
